Ariaster Chimeli, PhD in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He currently works as a full professor in the Department of Economics at Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil. Ariaster’s work includes research on growth and the environment, climate, tropical forests, energy, international trade, water and extreme events.
