CEDE has produced extensive research in the areas of competition, growth and economic development, environment, demography, agricultural economics, environmental economics, economics of education, economics of health, political and institutional economics, social economic evaluation of projects, economic history, macroeconomics and the financial sector, monetary and financial history, behavioral and experimental economics, industrial organization and regulation, fiscal policy, violence, security and conflict.
Among the national and international institutions that provide funding for research at CEDE are Banco de la República, Ministries (Finance, Education and Health), the National Planning Department, the Mayor's Office of Bogotá and Colciencias.
