Selection Criteria
Papers will be selected based on academic merit and potential relevance for policymaking in the region. The organizing committee will prioritize empirical studies that contribute to our understanding of challenges that women face in the region, employ rigorous quantitative methods and present clear policy implications. Early career researchers and researchers based in the region are encouraged to apply. Each researcher can only submit and present one paper. The researcher can be the coauthor of multiple papers.

Submission Deadline: June 15, 2025
Notification of Acceptance: July 15, 2025

Program: The Policy Research Workshop will consist of closed-door, academic sessions that bring together leading researchers for small-group discussions on cutting-edge evidence related to women and jobs. In addition, the workshop will feature policy-focused dialogue between researchers and policymakers to demonstrate how evidence can shape policymaking and highlight evidence-informed policy levers and options. The latter will be open to the public and broadcast online.
