Abstract

"El presente manual persigue como objetivo principal presentar de manera sencilla la teoría y la econometría utilizada para calcular el valor económico de bienes no mercadeables, como el caso de la calidad ambiental. Primeramente, se hace una presentación de la teoría básica de Economía del Bienestar, luego se presentan las metodologías de valoración partiendo con el enfoque directo de valoración y luego exponiendo el resto de metodologías correspondiente al enfoque indirecto. Luego, se presentan conceptos econométricos y ejercicios de valoración relacionados con la econometría de variables discreta y su aplicación en el campo de la valoración de recursos naturales y ambientales. La exposición termina con la bibliografía consultada..." Tomado del Prólogo.
