Areas de interés

My research interests are in the applied micro fields of public economics, regulation and rural development policy. More precisely, I explore the nature of social capital, in particular how social networks affect the emergence of collective action. I also carry out empirical research on the incidence of the VAT and other taxes. Topics in rural development include the fiscal aspects of agricultural policy and how rural households in emerging countries deal with risk.
