2007 Joint annual meeting
announcement and call for papers
The 2007 LACEA and LAMES meetings will take place in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 4-6, 2007. The Meetings will be hosted by Fedesarrollo and Universidad de los Andes.
The Annual Meetings of these two academic associations will run simultaneously, under a single local organization. By registering to LACEA-LAMES 2007, participants will be welcomed to attend all sessions of both meetings.
Mauricio Cárdenas (Fedesarrollo) and Alejandro Gaviria (Universidad de Los Andes) will be the conference organizers. The LACEA Program Committee will be co-chaired by Marcela Eslava (Universidad de los Andes) and Mauricio Olivera (Fedesarrollo). The LAMES Program Committee will be co-chaired by Alvaro Riascos (Universidad de los Andes) for Theoretical and Applied Economics and Joao Issler (Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Brazil) for Econometrics and Empirical Economics.
Please note that authors may submit only one paper to each of the meetings and that the same paper cannot be submitted to both meetings. Papers can only be submitted electronically through the LACEA-LAMES 2007 web site at http://economia.uniandes.edu.co/lacealames2007 Papers must consist of a single PDF file with a maximum size of 2MB. No other format will be accepted.
Authors submitting papers must either be members of LACEA or the Econometric Society or join at the time of submission. Membership information can be found at http://www.lacea.org/ or http://www.econometricsociety.org Submissions will be accepted until May 18th, 2007.
Information regarding the Program Committee, conference program, venue, registration, accommodation, social events and technical conference support will be made available through the conference’s web site.
Submissions for this event were accepted until May 18th. No new submissions can now be accepted.
Decisions on submitted papers will be announced by August 15th, 2007.
